WHERE ARE WE?

Set in the Erewash Valley, one of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust's Living Landscapes, Woodside Farm will play host to the festival for local wildlife. The site, which is less than a mile from Shipley Common and 2 miles from Ilkeston, borders Shipley Country Park, the former American Adventure Theme park and Woodside Colliery. Whether your'e driving or going green on public transport, we've offered up everything you need to know below.

DRIVE & PARK

Access to the site is via Pit Lane, Shipley, DE75 7JL.

If you plan to park in the official festival car park on Pit Lane you will need to purchase a parking pass (£3 per vehicle) with your festival ticket.

From the M1 take Junction 26 on to the A610; signed Nottingham if coming from the north and Nottingham / Ripley if approaching from the south. At the junction roundabout take the A610 Matlock / Ripley exit.

Travel long the A610 and exit on the slip road for A6096 Ilkeston; 1st exit at the roundabout. Continue to follow signs for Ilkeston A610 / Millership Way. After passing Tesco / McDonalds take the third exit on the roundabout for Shipley / Heanor A6007. Continue up the A6007 and Pit Lane will be on your left. Your parking pass will be checked on arrival to Pit Lane.

BUS

From Derby:

Get the Y59 from Derby Mortledge Stop (or anywhere along its route!); get off at a Shipley View and then enjoy a 25 minute walk through Shipley Common Lane and public footpaths to WOODSIDE FESTIVAL.

Get the BLACK CAT from Derby Bus Station (or anywhere along its route!). This service runs every half past the hour; for live timetables see here. Get off at the Pit Lane, Shipley stop.

From Mansfield:

From Nottingham:

Get the number 21 from Nottingham's Mount Street stop X1 (or anywhere along its route!). This service runs every 5 mins and 35 mins past the hour; for live timetables see here. Get off at the Pit Lane, Shipley stop.

This service runs until late into the evening. 

From Heanor:

Get the number 21 from Heanor Wilmot Street stop (or anywhere along its route!). This service runs every 5 mins and 35 mins past the hour; for live timetables see here. Get off at the Pit Lane, Shipley stop.

The nearest train station is Ilkeston; a 50 minute walk from WOODSIDE FESTIVAL or a 10 minute taxi ride.
